Welcome to the first blog for Retro Chic! I am happy and excited to finally get my ideas out into the world where you can find them. It has taken me a long time to piece together what I want for this blog and for this website. And now that it is in fruition I could not be more thrilled to share what I have been working on. Here at Retro Chic, we like to focus on three things: vintage, luxury, and sustainability.
It is because of our dedication to sustainability that we will have a store where we sell vintage and previously loved luxury. Vintage sustainable luxury is what we are all about. We are here to share with you how vintage fashion meets sustainable luxury. You can read more about us here.

About The Shop
My hope for this blog and website is that it becomes a place for you to visit often when you want to learn information about vintage or luxury items, and a place where you turn to for purchasing vintage and luxury items I have in stock in my store. I hand-pick every item available in my store. Every item for sale is either vintage or luxury, and once in a while, it might be both! We are working on stocking our store soon with preloved vintage designer bags.

About The Blog
The blog is about vintage sustainable luxury. In the vintage blog posts, I will showcase new vintage findings, discuss the history of the item to provide historical context, and include photos of the item when applicable. Some of the blog posts will be about how to style your home with vintage pieces or how to incorporate vintage clothing and accessories into your wardrobe. The blog will dive into the histories, styles, customs, and trends of vintage luxury brands, as well as the many different types of luxury and sustainability.

Vintage Sustainable Luxury
I love a little bit of luxury. Purses, jewelry, clothing, makeup, skincare. I love all of it. I have always seen luxury as a way of treating myself. There is more to luxury than just products to buy. Luxury is also lifestyle, experiences, and food. I will review luxury items I own, discuss luxury items we have available for sale, and discuss luxury types I want to try next and why.
And of course, there is fashion sustainability. Having a focus on the sustainability of fashion is important to me because it aligns with my core values. It should be noted here that I have a strong appreciation for history. It goes hand in hand with my love of vintage. I will, without a doubt, drizzle little history tidbits here and there within the blog posts. Even just briefly mentioning it here makes me smile. I am excited to use my research skills for what makes me happy, vintage, and luxury!
